RCSA Youth Flag Football League – Winter 2027!
Thank you for choosing RCSA and becoming part of a very special season as we celebrate our 10th year of providing flag football leagues, camps, clinics, and opportunities to youth throughout the North Sacramento and Natomas communities. What started in 2017 with a dream, six teams, and approximately 48 kids has grown into an incredible community of players, families, coaches, volunteers, and community partners. As we celebrate 10 years, our commitment remains the same: quality over quantity and providing a fun, safe, positive environment where kids can develop their skills, build friendships, compete, and enjoy the game of flag football.
🏈 Skills Evaluations — Required
Players registered in Division 3, Division 2, Division 1, PRO, Elite, and both Girls divisions are REQUIRED to attend Skills Evaluations. Evaluations allow our staff and coaches to assess players and create teams that are as competitive and balanced as possible.

📅 Winter Season Info
Winter League games will be played on Sundays from January through March, with games scheduled between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM at Inderkum High School in Natomas.
We are also looking for volunteer coaches and parent helpers, as well as teens ages 16+ interested in earning volunteer hours or working paid opportunities as referees or scorekeepers. If you or your teen would like to get involved, please reach out.

All practices will be held @ Airfield Park or Westlake Park. Your team's practice days and times will be determined by the coaches after the skills evaluation for your age group. Due to the winter season, practices will be limited based on daylight. Some coaches may opt to practice before their game on Sunday or on Saturday. Please keep this in mind.
There will be one optional practice (the coach will determine the day and time in conjunction with the parents) and one game per week. The league will run from January 24th, 2027, to March 7, 2027, and will be capped off with a Mini In-House tournament* for Divisions 2 (9-10), Divisions 1 (11-12), PRO Division (13-14), ELITE Division (15-17), and Girls Division (Ages 9 to 11 & Ages 12-14).
NO GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON VALENTINE'S DAY // SUPER BOWL SUNDAY (FEB 14TH, 2027)
A skills competition* will be held at the end of the year for Division 3 (7-8), and Division 4 (5-6). *Depends on the number of kids.
Both the tournament and Skills competition are optional and can be canceled at the discretion of the RCSA board*
* RCSA may host a tournament in late March 2027 for all local Flag football teams for ages 9 & up. If your team decides to participate, you must use the same players currently on your roster for the winter season. No exceptions*
Costs
The cost is per player and includes a mouthpiece. You must select your jersey during the registration process in order to recieve one. Shorts without pockets can be purchased for $15. The prices are listed below:

$120 + Jersey if you register before December16th, 2026 (Regular registration)

$145 + Jersey if you register on or after December 17th, 2026
Opportunities
If you would like to REFEREE or Volunteer (Check-in, parent liaison, field maintenance) and want your child to play in our league, you would receive a discount code that would reduce your registration for your child. You must email info.rcssacramento@gmail.com to express interest and receive your discount code.
You must SUBMIT a coaching interest form (we have limited spots for each age group for coaching, refereeing, etc), complete a volunteer application, and submit your child's registration before December 16th, 2026. A discount may be available if you decide to coach.
You will also be required to attend the mandatory coaches meeting with the RCSA (TBD) before being allowed to coach in our league. You will also need to be fingerprinted. The form will be available at the meeting. ALL NEW AND RETURNING COACHES MUST ATTEND THE MEETING.
If you decide to volunteer with us after the December 17th, 2026, deadline, you are required to pay the full registration cost.

* The first day of league games will begin on SUNDAY, JANUARY 24TH, 2027. There will be six weeks, all taking place between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. A mini in-house tournament for age groups nine and up, and an optional skills competition (ages 4-6, and 7 & 8) after the last week of the league.
* Picture Day will be held the 3rd week of league play, (FEBURARY), 2027. Times will be provided the week of.
