WINTER 2025 - Season #11
REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 4TH!!!!!!

The RCSA will be running our WINTER youth flag football league that starts in JANUARY 2025.

This coming season, we will begin our 11th flag football season in 7 years running a youth league that is truly for the community and for the children who participate. We pride ourselves on not only running a quality league but on being open and willing to make changes that benefit the participants. As a non-profit, this organization was created to help children of all ages experience high-quality recreational activities and leagues without having to drive out of their own neighborhoods. We thrive on parent and community volunteers and we are in need of those people who truly want to help kids love the game of flag football.

This is an instructional, Co-Ed league for youth ages 4 to 14 as well as now High School grades 9th and 10th; we are always in need of volunteers to coach, scorekeep, or referee our games that will be held on SATURDAY MORNINGS. If interested, please scroll below for more information.

The location of all practices to will be at Airfield Park.

All practices will be held @ Airfield park located at Natomas crossing drive in north Natomas. Your team practice days and times will be determined by coaches following the skills evaluation of your age group.

All games for all age groups will happen on SATURDAY MORNINGS @ Natomas Middle School in North Natomas

Location of games: Natomas Middle School in North Natomas (3200 N Park Drive Sacramento, CA 95835).

There will be one optional practice (the coach will determine the day and time in conjunction with the parents) and one game per week. The league will run from JANUARY 2025 to MARCH 2025 and will be capped off with a Mini In-House tournament* for Divisions 2 (9-10), Divisions 1 (11-12), Pro Division (13-14), HS Boys & Girls & Girls Division (Ages 8 to 13).

A skills competition* will be held at the end of the year for Division 3 (7-8), and Division 4 (5-6). *Depends on the number of kids.

Both the tournament and Skills competition are optional and can be canceled at the discretion of the RCSA board*

Costs

The cost is per player and includes a team jersey and a mouthpiece. The prices are listed below:

$140 if you register between OCTOBER 4TH, 2024, and DECEMBER 5TH, 2024 (Regular registration)

$160 if you register on or after DECEMBER 6TH, 2024 to JANUARY 4TH, 2025 (Late Registration)

Opportunities

If you would like to REFEREE or Volunteer (Check-in, parent liaison, field maintenance) and want your child to play in our league, you would receive a discount code that would reduce your registration for your child. You must email info.rcssacramento@gmail.com to express interest and receive your discount code.

RCSA COACHES APPLICATION

You must SUBMIT a coaching interest form (we have limited spots for each age group for coaching, refereeing, etc), complete a volunteer application, and submit your child's registration before JANUARY 3RD, 2025.

You will also be required to attend the mandatory coaches meeting with the RCSA (JANUARY 3RD, 2024 @ PRIMETIME ATHLETICS- 1960 Railroad Drive, Sacramento, CA 95815- 6:30 PM) before being allowed to coach in our league. You will also need to be fingerprinted. The form will be available at the meeting. ALL NEW AND RETURNING COACHES MUST ATTEND THE MEETING.

If you decide to volunteer with us after the deadline of JANUARY 3RD, 2025, you are required to pay the FULL registration cost.

* The first day of league games will begin on SATURDAY JANUARY 25TH, 2025 There will be 6 games, A mini in-house tournament for age groups 9 and up, and an optional skills competition (ages 4-6, and 7 & 8) after the last week of the league.

Want to be a part of something great!?

We will be looking for volunteer coaches for our league. Please download the letter and application from the link at the top of this page. All applications must be turned in by the Coaches' clinic on APRIL 5TH, 2024, after each age group's evaluation. All volunteer coaches will need to get fingerprinted to coach in our league.

How much does it cost for the upcoming season?

Regular registration is $135 (before March 22nd) Late Registration is $155 (on or after March 23rd)
When does the RCSA Spring season start?

Skills evaluation will be on either April 9th, 10th, or 12th depending on the age group. Games will begin April 26th, 2024
Will you accept buddy requests this season?

During the Spring season, RCSA will not accept buddy or coaching requests.
